NKU bests UIndy in midweek tennis duals

CINCINNATI, Ohio-  Northern Kentucky bested the UIndy tennis teams Tuesday, defeating the women 8-1 and the men 7-2 at Beechmont Racquet Club Tuesday afternoon.

Meghan Teunis earned UIndy's lone women's team point, scoring a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 4 singles.  Teunis improved her team-leading singles record to 13-5 overall and she is an impressive 6-1 in conference play.  The freshman is 5-0 at the No. 4 position and higher.

On the men's side, Jeff Price and Jonathan Hack dominated at No. 3 doubles, blanking Jason Kramer and Jason Arenstein 8-0.  Taylor Broda was the lone singles winner for UIndy, garnering a 6-2, 6-4 win at the No. 5 spot.  Broda improved to 15-6 overall in singles play, tops on the team.

The Greyhounds host Southern Indiana Saturday in their home finale before trips to Kentucky Wesleyan and Bellarmine to close out the regular season.
