CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.- University of Indianapolis senior
Kristi Piepenbrink was one of 18 golfers recognized as an All-American by the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) Wednesday night. Piepenbrink made the six-member Duramed NGCA Division II All-American Second Team, her third All-American nod from the NGCA in her four years at UIndy.
Prior to this year's second-team distinction, Piepenbrink garnered All-American honorable mention from the NGCA last season and third-team accolades as a freshman. The Greenwood, Ind. native led the conference in scoring average this season, won medalist honors at the 2009 Great Lake Valley Conference Championship, and helped the Greyhounds win their fourth conference title.
Winners were recognized at the NGCA D-II Awards Banquet held in Findlay, Ohio, site of the 2009 NCAA DII Championships. The Greyhounds are one of 12 teams competing for the national championship and currently sit in second place after the first of four rounds.
