Piepenbrink matched McBride's final-round score as she also shot +5 on the last day. The Second Team All-American earned sole possession of fifth place with a four-round score of 304 (77-74-76-77), with her two-over effort in Friday's second round matching the best of the day.

FRIDAYThanks to Thursday's inclement weather, the country's 12-best D-II squads played 36 holes Friday. McBride started the day tied for third at two-over par, and after a second-round 75, she fired an even-par 72 to climb into the medalist's spot.
Teammate
Kristi Piepenbrink also resides in the top five after her effort Friday. As UIndy's lone senior, Piepenbrink racked-up 16 pars in the second round to finish with a 74 and help vault her from 15th place after round one into a three-way tie for third heading into Saturday.
