INDIANAPOLIS- Fresh off being named to the All-GLVC First Team, University of Indianapolis senior Ben Sondgeroth garnered recognition from the College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) as an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 5 First Team honoree.  The Rock Falls, Ill. native leads the Great Lakes Valley Conference in RBI and carries a 3.57 cumulative GPA as a History major.

Sondgeroth grabbed one of the four “infield” spots on this year's first team after starting least ten games at four positions (1B, 3B, C, DH).  The Greyhounds' clean-up hitter heads into the GLVC Tournament leading the league in RBI and slugging percentage while ranking second in homers and third in both on-base percentage and runs scored.
