INDIANAPOLIS- University of Indianapolis women's basketball head coach
LeAnn Freeland revealed her 2009-10 schedule Tuesday. The third-year coach will lead her Greyhounds in 27 regular-season games this year, supplemented by three exhibition contests versus Division-I schools Valparaiso, Notre Dame, and Xavier.
The Greyhounds will play the first of their three exhibitions at Valparaiso Nov. 1, part of a doubleheader with the UIndy and Valpo men.
The regular season opens at home with a non-conference tilt versus Saint Catherine College at Nicoson Hall Nov. 15. Two more non-conference opponents follow before the UIndy Thanksgiving Classic Nov. 27-28. The four-team event will see the Hounds face in-region opponents Oakland City and Lake Superior State just before their GLVC opener against division-rival Northern Kentucky Dec. 3.
Indianapolis will play 18 conference games in all, with the 12-team GLVC Tournament starting first-round action Feb. 27-28. The NCAA Tourney begins shortly thereafter with the Midwest Regional taking place Mar. 12-15. To view the complete schedule,

The Greyhounds are coming off back-to-back trips to the NCAA Tournament, including the program's deepest-ever tourney run last year. UIndy bounced a pair of top-ten teams on the way to the program's first Sweet Sixteen appearance.
