TERRE HAUTE, Ind.- The Greyhound cross country teams competed at the annual Indiana Intercollegiates meet Friday at Indiana State University. The meet features 14 men's and women's non-Division I squads from all around the Hoosier state.
Katherine Wilhelm led the Greyhound women, placing ninth individually and helping UIndy to a fourth-place finish as a team. The freshman crossed in 19:36 while fellow frosh
Stephanie Cave finished in 19:49 to take 13th.
Lindsay Houvener was 28th, Katie Boester 31st and
Courtney Raypole 35th to round out the scoring for Indianapolis.
On the men's side, UIndy took sixth in the field of 14. The Greyhounds were paced by
Josh Gornall who traversed the 8-kilometer course in 26:15, good for a fourth-place showing.
Mark Martinez was just over a minute behind (27:17) to finish in 14th. Ian O'Boyle was 23rd,
Michael Landy took 38th and
Andrew Piropato finished in 67th.
UIndy will head to Evansville, Ind. next Saturday to compete in the Southern Indiana Invite.
