Hounds open season at ITA regional

MIDLAND, Mich.- The Greyhound men's tennis team opened its 2009-10 season at the Wilson/ITA Regional Friday. The tournament was an individual-based event with no team results taken. The matches were held in Midland at the Midland Community Tennis Center and at the Gerstacker Courts on the campus of Northwood University.
The highlight was sophomore
Jeff Price (Muncie, Ind./Delta ), who won the only set in singles play for the Hounds. He led 6-3 after the first set, but dropped a 7-6 (5) second set to force a deciding third set. There, Wayne State's Eric Szydlowski was able to post a 6-3 win to take the match.
UIndy takes to the court this weekend, playing at Taylor Friday and at cross-town IUPUI Saturday.
