ROLLA, Mo.- With a 71-46 win at Missouri S&T Monday night, the third-ranked UIndy women's basketball team notched its 17th straight win to match the program record for consecutive victories. The Greyhounds out-shot the host Lady Miners 57 percent to 39 percent to remain unbeaten on th e season.

Jessica Canary hit the first of eight UIndy 3-pointers on the night.
Cayla Keegan followed suit seconds later by knocking down a triple of her own, giving the Hounds an early 6-2 advantage.
The Lady Miners (10-7, 5-4 GLVC) answered with a 8-0 surge to briefly take control, but UIndy then held their hosts scoreless for nearly four minutes to take the lead for good. Canary hit a short jumper at the 6:16 mark to push the lead to 10 and later hit a bucket in transition to cap the first half scoring and give the Hounds a 36-19 edge at the break.
As well as the Greyhounds shot in the first half – 54 percent from the floor – they shot even better in the second, sinking 15-of-25 attempts in the final 20 minutes, good for a .600 percentage. The Indianapolis advantage topped 20 with 18:10 remaining, and slowly climbed to 30 by the eight-minute mark. S&T scored 11 of the final 16 points, but it was too little, too late, as UIndy went on the 25-point win.
Eight of the 10 Greyhounds that saw the floor scored between six and 12 points. Canary accounted for the UIndy high score while also adding six assists, four steals and two blocks. Fellow senior
Katie Dewey amassed 11 points, seven assists and three steals, while reigning GLVC Player of the Week
Samantha Meissel added 11 points and five rebounds.
UIndy attempts to set a new school record for consecutive wins when it hosts division-rival Southern Indiana Thursday night at 5:30 pm. The Screaming Eagles currently sport a 6-1 GVLC mark, just a one-and-a-half back of the Hounds.
