Royer named GLVC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS - University of Indianapolis track and field athlete Matt Royer was named Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the week after his performance at the Cedarville Collegiate Invitational this Friday.

Royer dominated the competition at the meet in the men's weight throw, establishing a fieldhouse record after his toss of 17.83 meters.  Royer's mark also currently ranks in the top 15 throws on the NCAA performance list.

The UIndy men's and women's track and field teams will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to the Little Giant Invitational at Wabash College.
