ROMEOVILLE, Ill.- Tricks were in store for top-seeded Lewis on Halloween, with the treats for No. 8 UIndy being delivered by Roger Lee, Micah Uemura and Ryan Barnett in the Greyhounds' 3-0 first-round GLVC Tournament win at Lewis Sunday.

The Greyhounds' win was its first against the Flyers (10-6-1) in GLVC tournament play, and the first-ever by an eight-seeded team over a one-seeded team. UIndy (9-7-0) advances on in GLVC Tournament play for the first time since 2007, and earns its first win in tournament play since 1999.

"There were not a lot of people who thought we could come here and win, apart from our coaches and players," UIndy head coach John Higgins said. "We always knew that if we could get to the knockout stage we could beat anyone. We have a lot of talented guys."

UIndy scored first in the 36th minute, with Bobby Adkins getting a ball to Lee in front of the net. Lee finished it just past the Flyer keeper to put the Greyhounds up 1-0.

Uemura put UIndy up 2-0 just less than four minutes later, scoring off of a corner kick from Adkins for his first goal of the season. The half ended with the Greyhounds holding the two-score advantage.

UIndy added to its lead with a Barnett goal in the 54th minute. Barnett tallied his first score of the season to put the Greyhounds up 3-0, again off of a corner kick by Adkins.

Justin Roberts recorded the clean sheet in the net for UIndy, making 14 saves on the day. The Flyers took 20 shots to the Greyhounds' 16.

Continuing on in GLVC Tournament play, the Greyhounds will play the winner of Sunday's matchup of No. 5 Drury and No. 4 Quincy. The semifinal match will be played Friday at the tournament's highest remaining seed. View the entire tournament break-down here.
