HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky.- No. 8-seeded UIndy continued its GLVC Tournament run, besting No. 4 Quincy 1-0 in overtime to advance to the conference championship for the first time in school history. The win improves the Greyhounds to 10-7-0 overall, and is their second over Quincy in extra minutes this season.

A Bobby Adkins goal in the 98th minute gave the Greyhounds the win. Adkins took a ball in front of the goal, sent through by Roger Lee, who beat a pack of Hawk defenders into the box.

"There was nothing between the two teams. We are a good side and they are a good side," UIndy Head Coach John Higgins said. "The element that has given us success this season is our team spirit. It is with team spirit that you get these overtime wins."

The Greyhounds brought the pressure early, taking three shots on goal and a pair of corner kicks in the first 10 minutes of play.

Max Marsh had the best chance of the first half, sending a header just wide right of the net just before the 39-minute mark. Roger Lee sent the ball to Marsh in the air across the box, but he sent the header just past the right post.

Quincy had it's best shot of the match in the 56th minute, with Ryan Siefert sending a ball just wide of the frame, past a drawn-out Justin Roberts in the UIndy net.

Right around the 92nd minute, Lee had a chance for the UIndy win, but he got tied up with the Quincy keeper about five yards in front of the net. Prior to his game-winner, Adkins had a chance to advance the Greyhounds in the 96th minute, with his long shot missing just high off the crossbar.

Adkins led the UIndy offensive attack, taking five shots, two on goal. Lee and Marsh each had three shots. Justin Roberts tallied his seventh shutout of the season, making five saves in his effort.

The Greyhounds advance to the GLVC Men's Soccer championship game for the first time in program history. The team will face the winner of the other semi-final match between top-seeded Northern Kentucky and No. 3 seed Missouri S&T, which kicks off at 7:30 Friday. The GLVC championship will be played Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
