Final results
MESA, Ariz.- In a preview of the upcoming nation finals, the fifth-ranked UIndy women's golf team placed fourth among a talented field at the Ashland University Desert Invitational Thursday. The eight-team event was held at Longbow Golf Course in Mesa, Ariz., site of the 2010 NCAA D-II National Championship in May.
Last year's individual national champ
Lyndsay McBride tied for fourth with a two-day score of 153. The senior followed a 77 yesterday with a five-over 76 Thursday to notch her seventh top-five finish in eight events this season.

Allison Tyler (85-77), and sophomore
Darin Pinnick (83-81) all improved on their first-round score to place between 17th, 21st and 25th, respectively.
Freshman
Megan Kiley shared 35th place with a 174, while fellow freshman
Lauren Vogt shaved 10 strokes off her day-one tally, carding an 84 Thursday to finish with a share of 40th place. Individual competitor
Ashley Seaton placed 46th with a 185.

Poll. Nineteenth-ranked California State-Monterey Bay (624) took the team title by one stroke over No. 2 Grand Valley State (625). Tarleton State's Carla Cooper carded the only sub-par round of tourney with a one-under 70 Thursday help win medalist's honors.
After two Spring Break tournaments in Arizona, the Greyhounds return to the Midwest for the Northern Kentucky Invitational Mar. 27-28.
