EVANSVILLE, Ind.- The UIndy women's tennis squad picked up it's 10th win of the season with a 6-3 defeat of Southern Indiana Saturday.
The Greyhounds (10-3, 2-2 GLVC) used four singles wins and a pair of doubles victories to secure the win.
Alena Perez-Majul and
Kelsey Hartman each went 2-0 on the day, with Perez-Majul taking a hard-fought 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) win at No. 2 singles and an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles along with
Maggie Ashby. Hartman picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles and paired with
Ceciley Starkey for an 8-4 decision at No. 3 doubles.
UIndy returns to Indianapolis next weekend for a pair of GLVC matches at Center Grove High School. The Greyhounds host Bellarmine Saturday and Kentucky Wesleyan Sunday in their final home matches of the season. Both contests will start at 10 a.m.
