SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- The UIndy women's tennis team bowed out of the 2010 GLVC Championships in the first round, dropping a 5-3 decision to Rockhurst.

The Greyhounds (12-4) picked up a pair of wins in doubles competition, with Maggie Ashby and Alena Perez-Majul teaming up for an 8-6 win at No. 1, while Meghan Teunis and Rachel Barger also won at No. 2 doubles, posting an 8-6 victory.

Singles competition did not go as well for UIndy, however, with just one Greyhound earning a win. Kelsey Hartman picked up the lone victory, by a score of 6-0, 6-1.

UIndy now awaits an NCAA Tournament bid. The 2010 NCAA Division II Tennis Regional will be held May 2-4.
