MESA, Ariz.- UIndy junior
Allison Tyler was presented with the NCAA's Elite 88 award at the annual banquet for the Division II Women's Golf Championship Tuesday night. The Elite 88 is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's 88 championships.
Tyler finished her junior year at UIndy with a 3.969 GPA in Exercise Science. The Ben Davis grad, who picked up her first All-GLVC honor last month, is a two-time National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar.
Tyler helped the Greyhounds to their second straight GLVC title Apr. 25 with a career-best third-place finish. She and her teammates are making their second consecutive trip to the NCAA D-II finals this week.
