SKILLMAN, N.J.-  University of Indianapolis assistant tennis coach Jarrod Epkey has been named the Division II Midwest Region's Women's Assistant Coach of the Year, announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association recently.  Epkey, in his first season on the Greyhound staff, helped the Greyhounds to a Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament berth and an impressive 12-4 overall record.

Epkey, a former letterwinner at Ball State University, works with both the men's and women's teams at UIndy.  On the men's side, he works alongside his former high school coach-- Ivan Smith-- for head coach John Venter. 

The UIndy 2009-10 women's squad just missed out on another NCAA appearance, getting edged out following a loss in the league tourney.
