UIndy 2, Southern Indiana 0
INDIANAPOLIS- A pair of first half goals were enough to give the UIndy men's soccer team a 2-0 win over visiting Southern Indiana Sunday. With the victory, the Greyhounds improve to 3-1-0 overall, 3-0-0 in the GLVC.
The first UIndy score was put in by
Roger Lee. The sophomore took a ball in the right side of the box from
Scott Gyllenborg in the 30th minute and beat the keeper to put the ball in. The goal was Lee's second of the season.
Max Marsh gave the Greyhounds a bit of insurance in the 44th minute, scoring on an assist from
Zach Pigg. Marsh scored down the middle of the box, just putting the goal in past the USI keeper.
UIndy keeper
Justin Roberts tallied his second-straight shutout in the win, making five saves in his 90-minute effort. In all, UIndy outshot USI 14-10 on the day.
The Greyhounds sit atop the GLVC standings with their 3-0 record, and will look to stay perfect in the league with a pair of conference matches next weekend. UIndy travels to Northern Kentucky Friday night and Bellarmine Sunday.
