HANOVER, Ind.- The Greyhound women took first while the men placed second in the standings at the Hanover Invite Saturday.
The five UIndy women runners that figured into the team scoring were third through seventh in the overall women's race.
Stephanie Cave led the pack, finishing the five-kilometer course in 20:19.
Sutton Knapp was part of the bunch right behind her (20:33) with
Katie Boester (20:36),
Michelle Lewis (20:40) and
Haley Wittig (20:47) crossing immediately following.
The men were led by overall winner
Mark Martinez, who traversed the course in 16:12.
Sam Bird grabbed third for UIndy with his 16:22 time.
Chris Corsaro was eighth (17:02),
Josh Gornall ninth (17:07) and
Ben McMillan 11th (17:20).
The Greyhounds will compete Friday at the Indiana Intercollegiates event, set to be held this year at Purdue University.
