INDIANAPOLIS-  There's no place like home...  In its first home action in nearly three weeks, the 17th-ranked UIndy volleyball team (8-5, 1-2 GLVC) snapped a four-match losing streak with a straight-set victory against visiting Missouri S&T Friday night, 25-14, 25-19, 25-17.

The well-attended event marked the first win for the Greyhounds in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.  Aided by a lofty .483 effort in the third set, UIndy's team hitting percentage of .311 was its highest since its sweep win of Academy of Art back on Sep. 10.

Sophomore Kristina Kerrigan earned team-highs in both attack attempts (30) and kills (11).  Junior Kristina Hefferan had eight kills and eight digs to go with her .412 hitting percentage.  Senior Cheneta Morrison amassed 34 assists and nine digs, while fellow-upperclassman Lyndsay Callahan led all players with 14 digs.

UIndy remains in town to host 23rd-ranked Missouri-St. Louis tomorrow.  The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Eastern.

Note:  The loss moved Missouri S&T's record to 2-1 in the GLVC and 7-4 overall.
