FORT WAYNE, Ind.- No. 6 Grand Valley State defeated the UIndy women's soccer team 3-0 on a neutral field at the Fort Wayne Sport Club Tuesday evening. The non-conference loss drops the Greyhounds to 1-6-1 on the year.

Grand Valley got on the board early, with Erin Hilbert tallying a goal in the 22nd minute. Hilbert came down the center of the field into the box and scored from about 15 yards out.

The second Laker score came in the 26th minute, on a header from Alyssa Mira. The ball was served to the left side of the goal by Kayla Addison, and Mira finished it into the right corner past UIndy's Danielle Bennett.

GVSU added it's final goal in the 84th minute, with Erika Pitroff scoring off of a rebound in the box.

The Greyhounds had four shots in the match, three on goal, with Nicole Duncan taking two of the UIndy shots. Bennett posted 14 saves in the net for UIndy.

GLVC play resumes this weekend for the Greyhounds, as they will host Lewis Friday at 5:00 p.m. and Wisconsin-Parkside Sunday at noon.
