UPLAND, Ind.-   The 19th-ranked UIndy volleyball team ran into a steaking and dangerous Taylor squad Tuesday night, falling to the home Lady Trojans in three sets (27-25, 26-24, 25-23).  The Greyhounds lost each set by the minimum two points, bringing their record to 9-6 on the season.

The Lady Trojans (18-1), ranked ninth in the NAIA Coaches' Poll, came into the night with just one defeat while riding a 13-match winning streak.

Indianapolis out-hit its host .188 to .165, but Taylor managed to close out each set strong, including scoring the final five points in third to secure the sweep.

Senior Cheneta Morrison notched a double-double on the night – 38 assists, 10 digs – but more importantly, the Fort Wayne, Ind., native became just the 12th player in program history to record career dig number 1,000.

Sophomore Kristina Kerrigan recorded a team-high 14 kills, junior Courtney Anglemyer amassed nine kills and three blocks, and senior Lyndsay Callahan scooped 18 digs.

The Greyhounds return to Great Lakes Valley Conference play with a weekend trip to the Land of Lincoln.  The Hounds face Quincy Friday at 8 p.m. EST, followed by a Saturday meeting at Illinois-Springfield at 4 p.m. Eastern.
