Greyhounds top Tritons 7-2

Liles completes undefeated weekend

ST. LOUIS- The UIndy women's tennis team won it's second consecutive match to open the 2010 season, taking a 7-2 win against Missouri-St. Louis Monday afternoon.

UIndy opened the contest by sweeping the three doubles matches. Meghan Teunis and Claire Liles defeated Danielle Henkel and Aya Gombo 8-6, while Alena Perez-Majul and Maggie Ashby won their match 8-3. Taylor Eckert and Kasey Land also took a victory for the Greyhounds, 8-4.

The Greyhounds sealed the team win with four wins in the singles portion of the contest. UIndy took wins at No. 3-No. 6, with Ashby's three-set win at No. 4 singles, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, highlighting the effort.

UIndy continues 2010 fall play at the DePauw Invitational next weekend. The Greyhounds will face off against host DePauw, Butler and IUPUI during the two-day event.
