Dual Results
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.- The Purdue Boilermakers took a 37-6 win over the Greyhound wrestling squad Friday, in UIndy's first dual meet action of the season.
"I knew it was going to be tough to come in and win this dual meet, but thought we wrestled pretty well," Head Coach Jason Warthan said. "I'm a little disappointed that we gave up four pins on the night. Obviously I was very proud of Ethan and Taylor. They both wrestled very smart. We put up some points in some matches that we lost, so there were some positives in a few of our losses."
The Greyhounds won two bouts of the meet, with
Ethan Harris taking a win at 133 and
Taylor Scott winning at 197.
Harris (1-0) won via a 5-3 decision over the Boilermakers' Matt Fields, while Scott (7-1) took a 3-0 decision over Purdue's Justin Dinius.
UIndy has a quick turnaround, with the Greyhounds heading to Campbellsville, Ky. for the Campbellsville Duals Saturday. The Greyhounds will dual host Campbellsville, Shorten, Tiffin and Cumberlands on the day.
