INDIANAPOLIS- UIndy women's soccer has placed a pair of student-athletes on the CoSIDA Academic All-District 4 teams, announced by the organization Friday afternoon.
Libby Anderl and
Morgan Binder both earned a spot on the Academic All-District 4 First Team. Anderl earned one of four defender spots on the listing, posting a perfect 4.0 GPA as an exercise science major. The Greyhound senior helped UIndy to six shutouts in 11 victories on the season. Anderl is a three-time Academic All-GLVC honoree, and was also an honorable mention NSCAA Scholar All-America selection a year ago.
Binder was named as one of three midfielders on the CoSIDA District 4 team. Also a senior, Binder carries a GPA of 3.97 as a Psychology major. She tallied one assist this season, and is a three-time Academic All-GLVC selection. Binder was also an honorable mention NSCAA Scholar All-America honoree last season.
In order to qualify for nomination a student-athlete must have been at their institution at least one year and reached sophomore athletic eligibility, carry a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher, and have participated in at least 50 percent of a team's games.
Anderl and Binder now advance to to national balloting for the 2011 CoSIDA Academic All-American team.
