Box Score 2 LOUISVILLE- The #4 Greyhound softball team moved to 24-1; 12-0 in GLVC play with a pair of wins at Bellarmine in league play Saturday at Knights Field. UIndy took game one 8-0 in five innings, and won game two 4-1 to sweep the twinbill.

The Greyhounds took the early lead in game one, plating three runs in the top of the first. Reigning GLVC Player of the Week
Kelsey Rummel opened the ballgame with a single through the left side, and followed with a steal of second.
Rummel came around to score on an RBI single to left by
Jennifer DeMotte, while
Samantha Krcelich brought home
Casey Williamson, who reached on a single to right. A single up the middle by
Briana Clark scored DeMotte.
UIndy added another three in the second inning, on two hits and a Knight error. A Williamson homer plated all three tallies, with Rummel and
Cori Eckerle scoring on the hit.
A pair of runs in the fourth closed out the five-inning UIndy win, with an Eckerle double plating Rummel. Eckerle came in to score on a DeMotte single.
DeMotte went 3-for-3 at the plate on the day, while the reigning NFCA DII Pitcher of the Week also took the win in the circle. DeMotte fanned five and surrendered just three hits in the five-inning shutout.
#4 UIndy 4, Bellarmine 1
The Knights put up their first run of the day in the top of the second, on a homerun to left field. UIndy answered with a run of its own in the third inning, with Rummel scoring on a sacrifice fly to centerfield by Williamson.
A two-run homerun by
Alexa Alfaro in the Greyhound sixth put UIndy up 3-1, plating Eckerle. The final Greyhound run came in the seventh, on a solo homer from
Briana Clark.
Both Alfaro and Clark each had a pair of hits in game two.
Audrey Ernst (7-0) took the victory, striking out four and giving up just two hits in her seven innings of work.
The Greyhounds take their Division II-leading 20-game win streak and GLVC-leading 12-0 league record to Northern Kentucky for a pair Sunday. First pitch from Highland Heights, Ky. is slated for noon.
