Box Score 2 COLUMBUS, Ohio- The second-ranked UIndy softball team stepped out of GLVC play Thursday, taking a sweep of GLIAC-foe Ohio Dominican, running its win streak to 24 games.

The Greyhound picked up their three runs in the fifth inning on four hits and one Panther error. A trio of singles from
Alexa Alfaro,
Samantha Krcelich and
Briana Clark opened the inning, with an RBI groundout by
Dakota Malayer pushing the first UIndy run across the plate.
The second and third Greyhound scores came home on a single by
Kelsey Rummel a few batters later.
Ohio Dominican played a single run on three hits in its half of the sixth inning.
Casey Williamson was 2-for-2 at the plate in the contest, while Rummel led the squad with her pair of RBIs.
Jennifer DeMotte (19-1) earned the pitching victory, striking out five and walking one in her seven innings of work.

UIndy struck first in the second inning in game two of the day, plating four runs on three hits and one ODU error. A Krcelich single scored DeMotte, who reached on an error to open the inning.
Alfaro, who reached on a fielder's choice, came across on a Clark single up the middle a batter later.
Audrey Ernst brought home Krcelich on a sacrifice fly for the third UIndy run, with Rummel doubling to left center a batter later to plate Clark.
The Panthers answered with a single run in the bottom of the inning, with the Greyhounds plating another run in the top of the fifth. DeMotte, who doubled to center, scored on an Alfaro single down the rightfield line.
UIndy scored three more runs on four hits and one Ohio Dominican error in the top of the seventh. A Krcelich homerun with Alfaro on base put up the first two runs of the frame, with the third and final run coming on a single through the right side by
Sydney Russell.
Rummel and Clark both had three hits in game two, while Ernst (9-0) earned the win in the circle, striking out two. DeMotte tallied her first save of the season in relief of Ernst, striking out one in one-and-one-third inning of work.
The #2 Greyhounds head to Southern Indiana and Kentucky Wesleyan for GLVC doubleheaders Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
