INDIANAPOLIS- With a pair of wins over visiting Urbana Wednesday, the Greyhounds tied the mark of 39 wins set by the 2008 UIndy softball squad. UIndy took 13-0 and 3-0 wins over the Blue Knights to improve to 39-2 on the year.

The Greyhounds took an early 6-0 lead with six runs in the bottom of the first inning on five hits.
Kelsey Rummel opened the inning with a bunt single on the thirdbaseline. 
Taylor Russell followed with a single through the left side. The first run came in on a single by 
Jennifer DeMotte to score Russell.
Two more runs crossed the plated on a single through the leftside by 
Samantha Krcelich, with DeMotte and 
Casey Williamson coming home. 
Briana Clark took a ball out over the left center, scoring 
Cori Eckerle and Krcelich.
UIndy added five more runs in the second inning, with a Williamson homer to right center plating Russell, who singled to the secondbase side.
A fielder's choice by Clark scored DeMotte, with 
Alexa Alfaro singling to score Krcelich. A 
Sydney Russell single up the middle brought home Clark to run the score to 11-0 UIndy.
The Greyhounds added single runs in both the third and fourth innings, with an Eckerle double bringing home Williamson in the third and a Rummel triple plating 
Sydney Russell in the fourth.

Sydney Russell each had a pair of hits in the ballgame for UIndy, while Clark had four RBIs in the contest.
DeMotte (25-2) earned the win, tossing five shutout innings of two-hit ball, striking out 10.

The home team put up a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth, with both Williamson and Eckerle scoring on a double to the leftcenter fence by Krcelich.
After reaching on a bunt single to open the UIndy fifth, 
Sydney Russell came home on a single through the right side by Williamson to put the score at 3-0 Greyhounds.
UIndy was paced by a pair of RBIs, while five different Greyhounds provided hits to the offense. 
Audrey Ernst (14-0) earned the victory, striking out two in the seven-inning shutout.
The Greyhounds head to UW-Parkside and Lewis for a pair of GLVC doubleheaders Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
