SIMPSONVILLE, Ky.- The UIndy men's golf team finished in 11th place at the 2012 NCAA Division II Championship, held at Cardinal Club Golf Course in Simpsonville, Ky. Meanwhile, the top eight schools in the 20-team field moved on to the match play quarterfinals Friday.
Led by the consistent play of sophomore
David Frank, the Greyhounds (298-294-290) missed qualifying for match play by just nine strokes. Frank (73-72-71) finished with a share of 19th place after carding a one-under 71 in Thursday's third and final round of stroke play.
Senior
Aaron Monson capped a stellar collegiate career with a top-25 showing. The 2012 GLVC Golfer of the Year fired a 69 in his final round as a Greyhound to finish with the school's fourth-lowest career scoring average (73.9).

Rob Gleixner (70-76-79) tied for 62nd place, sophomore
Max Bowling (83-74-75) shared 86th and sophomore
Jacob Yocum (79-80-75) tied 92nd.
Central Oklahoma's Josh Creel (65-70-71) captured the individual national championship.
