KANSAS CITY, Mo. – With a perfect 6-0 record in hand, the UIndy men's basketball team made its NABC/Division II Coaches Poll debut this week, coming in at No. 23. The Greyhounds had been receiving votes the previous two weeks until finally breaking into the top 25 for the first time this season.
The national ranking marked the Hounds' first since earning the No. 12 spot in the Feb. 12, 2013 edition. They are one of four GLVC squads in the top 25 this week, joining Bellarmine (2), Drury (3) and Southern Indiana (9).
The Hounds have just one road trip scheduled before starting conference play next month. The Greyhounds will leave their winter coats behind when they travel to Puerto Rico to face fellow Division-II schools P.R.-Bayamon and P.R. Rio Piedras Dec. 17 and 18, respectively.
