Hounds vault to No. 16 in coaches’ poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The UIndy men's basketball team (8-0) jumped to No. 16 in the latest NABC/Division II Top 25 Poll.  Ranked 21st last week, the Greyhounds' five-spot jump marked the largest upward climb of any team in this week's poll.

The undefeated Hounds have received votes in five consecutive polls and have now been in the top 25 for the last three.  Last season, UIndy was ranked for 10 consecutive weeks, topping out at No. 5 in mid January.

Joining the Greyhounds in the top 25 were fellow-GLVC-members Bellarmine (No. 2), Drury (3), Southern Indiana (8) and Lewis (22).  Bellarmine and Drury remained static in their respective top-three positions, while USI climbed one spot and Lewis made its 2013-14 NABC poll debut.

The Hounds begin conference play Friday, Jan. 3 at Missouri S&T, followed by a showdown at aforementioned Drury two days later.
