Rachel Barger and
Macey Speer got things started with an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles, while
Brooke Boyts and
Kasey Land tallied an 8-4 win at No. 3. The Greyhounds finished the doubles sweep at No. 1 as

Eckert was first off the court in singles by taking a 6-2, 6-3 win over Deb Easton-Bates at No. 3, followed by Speer earning a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 2 over Marie Kegley.
Smith earned the biggest win of her young career by beating the No. 20 singles player in the Midwest Region, Katee Sanderson, at the top spot. Smith won the first set handily, 6-1, but Sanderson fought back to take the second, 7-5, and force a superbreaker.
Sanderson held the late lead, 7-6, but then Smith buckled down. She won the next point to even the score and then Sanderson was overruled by the referee on the next point when she called Smith's shot wide, when it in fact clipped the line to give her the lead, 8-7. Sanderson couldn't recover and Smith won a pair of long rallies on the next two points for the win 6-1, 5-7, (10-7).
Barger earned her second win with a 6-1, 6-2 decision at No. 4 and then
Claire Liles didn't lose a game in dispatching of Katie Phillips 6-0, 6-0.
Boyts finished the day by fighting back from a 5-2 deficit in the second set to win 6-2, 7-5 at No. 5 singles.
