INDIANAPOLIS – University of Indianapolis women's tennis head coach
Malik Tabet has announced the addition of Selenay Heper (Bursa, Turkey) for next season.
She is currently ranked 23rd in Turkey and has been as high as 16 during her career, while also holding a career best combined ranking of 623 in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) rankings.
Heper has reached the finals of ITF junior doubles tournaments in Togo in 2011 and 2012, while also reaching multiple semifinals in singles in Benin and Togo. She has also competed in ITF tournaments in Antalya, Turkey, and Izmir, Turkey, reaching the doubles quarterfinals in both.
She finished third in Turkey as an 18-year-old in a tournament featuring the best eight players in the country, while also leading her high school team to fourth-place finishes in the national high school tournament and Turkey Tennis Federation playoffs. She was a three-year team captain for her high school team, as well.
She is planning to study sport management and is the daughter of Fatih and Ebru Heper.Â
Heper joins Anastasia Galitskaya (Moscow, Russia) to join the Greyhounds for 2013-14.
