Greyhounds creep to #7 in coaches poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Coming off a pair of pre-holiday wins in Miami, Fla., the UIndy men's basketball team (9-0, 1-0 GLVC) moved up two spots to No. 7 in the NABC/Division II Top 25 Poll, released Tuesday.  The Greyhounds have been ranked in the top 10 in eight of the last 14 NABC polls dating back to last season.

Moving up from No. 9 in the previous edition, UIndy's latest climb in the rankings came on the heels of a thrilling 78-73 comeback win at then-eighth-ranked Barry University Dec. 16.  The Hounds erased a 12-point second-half deficit to hand the host Buccaneers their first loss of the season and remain one of only nine undefeated teams in Division II.

The Greyhounds will face their second ranked opponent in the last three games when No. 19 Drury invades the Circle City this Friday.  Tip time from Nicoson Hall is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. ET.
