2013-14 Academic All-GLVC Team
INDIANAPOLIS – For the third year in a row the University of Indianapolis leads the Great Lakes Valley Conference with 223 Academic All-GLVC selections.
UIndy has 15 more student athletes than the next closest program on the list, which was released Monday by the league office. Three Greyhound athletic teams led their particular sport, including men's soccer (16 honorees) and both women's (16) and men's (19) swimming and diving. Women's basketball, men's cross country and football each came in a close second behind their sport's leading institution.
The GLVC announced that 2,318 student-athletes have garnered Academic All-GLVC honors for the 2013-14 season, shattering last year's
record of 2,002Â representatives. The increase of 316 was aided by the addition of men's and women's swimming and diving as well as first-year member Truman State University.The Academic All-GLVC honor is bestowed upon student-athletes that have completed two semesters at their institution and maintained a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average or have attained a 3.40 GPA over the two most recent semesters. Student-athletes that have attained a 3.40 GPA and not completed two semesters are also honored.
