KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The undefeated UIndy men's basketball team continued is climb up the NABC/Division II Top 25 Poll, released Tuesday. With previously-unbeaten Florida Southern falling at home to then-No.-11 Barry – a team UIndy beat on its home court last month – the Greyhounds (11-0, 3-0 GLVC) jumped two spots to No. 5 in the national rankings.
UIndy is coming off its second win versus a ranked team this season – a decisive 74-57 home victory against No. 19 Drury last Friday. The Hounds are joined in the poll by fellow-GLVC-members Bellarmine (No. 6), whom they leapfrogged this week, and Lewis (21).
Drury dropped out of the top 25 but is still receiving votes, as are Wisconsin-Parkside and Southern Indiana.
Overall, the Greyhounds have been ranked in the top 10 in nine of the last 15 NABC polls dating back to last season. They topped out at No. 4 last year, their highest ranking since ascending to No. 1 in 1996-97.
