INDIANAPOLIS- UIndy men's and women's swimming and diving will celebrate the life of a young teammate Saturday, with the Hounds honoring Carter Mears.

Carter, who was to join the Greyhounds through TeamIMPACT, passed away this past weekend. The 9-year-old from Mooresville enjoyed Minecraft, Mario, playing on his iPad, playing with his kittens and racing go karts with his older brother Jackson.

UIndy will not charge admission to Saturday's meet with Bellarmine, with donations being collected instead to be donated to the Carter Mears Balloon Project in honor of Carter. The Greyhounds and Knights will join in a moment of silence in remembrance of Carter prior to the start of the GLVC match.
