game notes* record as of Jan. 13OPENING TIPUIndy takes its nine-game win streak on the road, traveling to face a pair of GLVC West opponents. The Greyhounds first meet Drury Thursday, Jan. 14, for an 8:45 p.m. ET tip, before heading to face Missouri S&T Saturday, Jan. 16, at 4 p.m.
Â
ABOUT THE PANTHERSThe Drury Panthers are 8-5 overall and 3-2 in conference play, most recently falling 84-67 on the road at Wisconsin-Parkside. The Panthers are led by 11th-year head man Steve Hesser.
Â
Drury will likely prefer a low-scoring game, as it is last in the GLVC in scoring offense (72.8 ppg), but is in the upper half of the league in scoring defense, and field goal and 3-point field goal percentage defense. The Panthers also rank at the bottom of the conference with a 0.8 assist/turnover ratio.
Â
Senior Kameron Bundy leads the team and ranks fifth in the GLVC averaging 18.8 points per game. Fellow guard Tevin Foster scores 13.9 per, and the backcourt duo each play over 33 minutes per game for the Panthers.
Â
GREYHOUNDS VS. PANTHERSUIndy and Drury have met an even 10 times prior to Thursday, with the Panthers holding a 7-3 series edge. The Greyhounds won the last meeting, however, a lopsided 74-57 decision a season ago in Nicoson Hall (1/2/15). Drury won the last time the two met in Springfield, Mo., 83-69 (1/5/14), and have never lost to UIndy at home.
Â
ABOUT THE MINERSMissouri S&T carries an even 7-7 overall mark into the week, including a 3-2 GLVC record. The Miners, who are on a two-game skid, are led by Jim Glash (7th season) and will meet Saint Joseph's prior to Saturday's game against the Greyhounds.Â
Â
The Miners are one of only three GLVC teams with a negative scoring margin, although it is a narrow -0.1 difference (81.6 to 81.7). As a team, S&T ranks last in field goal percentage offense (.417) and defense (.492)
Â
Individually, B.J. McLaughlin (15.4 ppg) and Zach Ellis (12.4) each average double digits, while Rokas Paulauskas leads the Miners in rebounds at 7.6 per game. S&T also employs a deep bench, with 10 individuals averaging over 13 minutes per game.
Â
GREYHOUNDS VS. MINERSThe Greyhounds are 7-2 all-time versus Missouri S&T, having won five in a row dating back to 2010. UIndy won last season's game, 98-74, at home (1/4/15), and also took the most recent meeting in Rolla, Mo., 86-82 (1/3/14).
Â
LAST TIME OUTThe Greyhounds remained a perfect 4-0 in conference play following a pair of wins against West Division opponents last week. Thursday, UIndy needed a full 40 minutes to take care of the upset-minded Maryville Saints in an 82-75 decision. Senior
Jordan Loyd finished with 27 points, including 15 of the Hounds' last 18 to secure the victory.
Â
UIndy followed up Saturday with a 79-68 win against the visiting Missouri-St. Louis Tritons. Seniors
Lucas Barker,
Tyler Rambo and
Jordan Loyd combined to score 48 for the Hounds, who converted 23 of 25 free throws as a team. UIndy used an early 16-0 run to take a lead it would not relinquish.

Complete game recaps and box scores can be found on pages 17 and 18 of the game notes.
Â
CHARITIBLE CONTRIBUTIONSThe Greyhounds lead the GLVC and rank second in Division II in free throw shooting, currently hitting 80.3 percent from the stripe. UIndy's top three foul shooters, based on the NCAA minimum*, are listed below:
* min. 2.5 per game, players must play in 75% of team's gamesÂ
WHEN IT MATTERS MOSTNot only do the Greyhounds lead the GLVC and rank second nationally in free throw percentage (.803), but they have been able to see that efficiency increase during crunch time. Over the last five minutes of regulation, UIndy is a combined 70 for 80 (.875) at the foul line. Loyd leads all players with 22 makes on 23 attempts.
Â
A complete breakdown of the Greyhounds' free throw shooting in the final five minutes of regulation can be found on page 14 of the game notes.
Â
NOT ONE, NOT TWO, NOT THREE...After a 1-2 start to the 2015-16 campaign the Greyhounds are currently enjoying a nine-game win streak, the longest in the GLVC and tied for the fifth-longest in Division II. During the stretch UIndy is outscoring opponents by nearly 15 points per game.
Â
RIGHT WHERE THEY WANT 'EMDuring their first three games of the season the Greyhounds led for only 20:45 of total game time, not leading for 10-plus minutes in any game while going 1-2 overall. Since, - during the nine-game win streak - UIndy has led by at least 23 minutes in every contest.
Â
A complete breakdown of the Greyhounds' lead-deficit comparison can be found on page 14 of the game notes.
Â
ON THE ROAD AGAINThursday's game in Springfield, Mo., will be UIndy's first time away from Nicoson Hall since Nov. 28 when they traveled to Tiffin University.
Â

| Traditional 3-pt plays | 1 | 6 |
| Steals/game | 0.0 | 1.3 |

Â
I GOT A REALLY BIG TEAMUIndy's bench is averaging a remarkable 33 points per game, as opposed to the opponents' 18.8 average from reserve players.Â
Â
GREYHOUND HEISTUIndy's active defense has led to 9.1 steals per game, third best in the conference and 28th in Division II. That mark would be second in program history for a single season, as well, trailing only the 1999-00 squad which averaged 10.1 per game.
Â
BACK IN THE RANKINGSThe nine game win streak has vaulted the Greyhounds back into the NABC/Division II men's basketball rankings. UIndy jumped from No. 25 to No. 20 in the latest release, matching Eckerd for the biggest mover among the ranked teams.
Â
NEWEST GREYHOUNDThe UIndy men's basketball team added a new student-athlete to its roster this past Monday, signing John Rogers to be a Greyhound. Rogers comes to the UIndy program through Team IMPACT. Rogers joins three other Team IMPACT student-athletes included on Greyhound rosters: Braden Tamosaitis on the men's soccer team, Rory Halbert on the women's soccer team and Owen Mahon on the baseball team.
HITTING THE CENTURY MARKThe University of Indianapolis men's basketball program officially turns 100 years old this season, celebrating the Greyhounds' inaugural 1915-16 season. In honor of hitting the monumental mark, each game preview will feature a men's basketball historical fun fact. The Greyhounds have won at least 20 games each of the last four seasons, the longest such streak in program history by some margin. The only other case of consecutive 20-win seasons came in the 1995-96 and 1996-97.
