INDIANAPOLIS - The UIndy men's tennis team has added Michal Matusiak to the roster for the upcoming 2016-17 season.

Matusiak was born in Poland, but moved to the North Texas area when he was six years old and has since competed in several national and international events. According to the Tennis Recruiting Network, Matusiak has soared up the national and state rankings, regularly coming in the top 150 nationally and top ten in Texas while compiling a 4-star designation.

The 5-10 righty has garnered Division I interest, thanks in part to his success at USTA Team Zonals, World Team Tennis and the National Team Championships, where he has earned multiple Most Valuable Player honors. Some other major tournaments Matusiak has competed in include the Orange Bowl, Easter Bowl and National Hard Court and Clay Court championships.

Among Matusiak's most treaured accomplishments includes winning a USTA National Selection Tournament in Sacramento, Calif.
