INDIANAPOLIS – Just hours after capturing the program's sixth GLVC Baseball Championship, the University of Indianapolis baseball team learned both where they will be heading and who they will face in the opening game of the NCAA Midwest Regional.

This year's regional tournament will be held in Quincy, Illinois at QU Field after fellow GLVC member Quincy captured the top seed in the region. After sitting sixth in the last regional rankings of the regular season, the Greyhounds jumped up to third in the Midwest and have earned a showdown with sixth seeded Ashland University out of the GLIAC.

The Greyhounds (37-19) and Eagles (31-20) will be the final game of the opening day of the regional, getting started at approximately 9:30 p.m. eastern time.

Top-seeded Quincy (37-16) will open up the regional on Thursday morning, taking on eighth-seed and G-MAC champion Alderson Broaddus (30-19) at 10 a.m. The winner of that game will take on the winner of No. 4 seed Southern Indiana (33-19) and No. 5 seed Missouri S&T (35-17), who will face off when the Hawks and Battlers go final.

The third game of the opening day features second seed and GLIAC Tournament champion Grand Valley State (35-16-1) taking on No. 7 seed and conference rival Hillsdale (32-22).
