INDIANAPOLIS – The 14th-ranked UIndy softball team is pleased to announce the date of its annual MDA Day as Saturday, April 15. In an effort to raise both money and awareness for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Greyhounds will wear special jerseys showing a united front for "Team Liam" and MDA.  Donations to the MDA will be accepted at the gate.
 
The term Team Liam was adopted in honor of Liam Ealy, nephew of Greyhound softball alum Megan (Hall) Slightom.  Liam, who was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at a young age, will be on hand to throw out the first pitch.
 
Last season, the team raised more than $8,000 for MDA – part of nearly $25,000 raised in the last four years combined.
