INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy women's basketball team (6-13, 3-6 GLVC) ran into a talented Drury University squad Saturday afternoon, falling 80-60 at Nicoson Hall. The sixth-ranked Lady Panthers (16-2, 7-1) shot nearly 50 percent from the floor while benefiting from 27 UIndy turnovers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After having their 13-game winning streak snapped at Bellarmine Thursday night, the Panthers used a big third quarter to pull away from the tenacious Greyhounds. UIndy crept within seven at the half by out-scoring their guests in the second quarter, but Drury hung 28 points on the board in the third, knocking down 4 of 6 shots from downtown, to take control.

Turnovers played a large role in the outcome, as UIndy was charged with a season-high 27 miscues.

HOUND BYTES
Head Coach Kristin Wodrich on addressing the turnovers…
"Turnovers have been an Achilles' heel for us, so we continue to work on it. Every single day in practice, we work on taking care of the basketball. And we knew Drury defends like that – we knew they get out in passing lanes, and they press and they make you turn the ball over – so that wasn't something new for us, we just didn't do a good job at it today."
