HOW IT HAPPENED
After the Chargers mustered a man-up goal in the early going, the Hounds went on a tear, outscoring their opponents 14-1 over the next 35-plus minutes. Junior
Shawn Kimble was an offensive spark, as the Rochester, N.Y., native scored three times in the first half to lead the surge.
Â
Meanwhile, successful face-offs and a stout defense allowed the Hounds to pull away.
Robbie Berardi won 11 of 15 (.733) face-offs in the first half, while the Chargers managed just seven shots before the break.
Â
Eleven Greyhounds got in the scoring column before the final horn, including senior
Max Gerhardt, who scored his first goal of the season in the third quarter.

Freshman goalkeeper
Austin Barnett saved seven of 12 shots on goal, good for a .583 save percentage.
