INDIANAPOLIS- University of Indianapolis women's golf coach Ken Piepenbrink announced the signing of a pair of Northeast Indiana natives for 2009, as Megan Kiley (Leo, Ind.) and Lauren Vogt (Auburn, Ind.) are set to join the Greyhounds next season.

Megan Kiley, a Leo High School product, has three Plantation Junior Golf Tour wins to her credit and is also a veteran of many Indiana Junior Golf Tournaments, including Girls State, PGA Sectionals and the Masters Series. She garnered all-area accolades the past three years and led Leo to State Final appearances in 2006 and 2008.

“My decision to attend University of Indianapolis was an easy one," says Kiley.  "I immediately knew that I would like Coach Piepenbrink and his coaching style. The Greyhounds have enjoyed great success and I am looking forward to contributing to the team.  The size and academic reputation of UIndy was also a factor in my decision.  I know that University of Indianapolis will be a great fit for me.”

Lauren Vogt led DeKaulb High School to four straight sectional championships, three regional titles and three state final appearances. The four-time all-conference first teamer finished this year with a 15th-place showing (79-75) at the IHSAA State Finals. She also tasted success on the Indiana summer tours, including a win at the Mountain Dew Tour Championships in '06 and the Girls' State Junior Championship in '08.

“I love UIndy because of the atmosphere and family type relationship on the team and the program is excellent and a good place for me to shine. The coach is awesome too!!”

The 2008-09 squad resumes competition in March at the Lady Moc Invitational at The Club at Eaglebrooke in Lakeland, Fla.
