Samantha Meissel picked up her second All-America nod this week by being named to the 2010 Daktronics NCAA Division II Women's Basketball All-America Third Team. The three five-player teams were voted on by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Meissel garnered All-America Honorable Mention from the WBCA
earlier in the week. The 6-2 forward led the Great Lakes Valley Conference in scoring, averaging 19.2 points per game on her way to being named GLVC Player of the Year. UIndy has made the NCAA Tournament each of her three seasons on campus, including a 2009-10 campaign that saw the team compile a 26-4 record.
Johannah Leedham of Franklin Pierce was named the 2010 Daktronics NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Year. She was joined on the first team by Lauren Beckley of Shippensburg (Pa.), Indianapolis-native Mariesa Greene of Barry, Jasmine Gunn from Tusculum, and Veronica Walker of Delta State.
