MESA, Ariz.- The UIndy women's golf team concluded its 2009-10 season by placing ninth at the NCAA Division II Championship Saturday. The Greyhounds compiled a team score of 1274 in the four-round event and were led by senior
Lyndsay McBride, who tied for 18th at +24.
McBride (80-76-76-76) finished her tournament with three straight rounds at five-over par. Last year's individual national champ carded 13 birdies at the event – six in the final round alone – to finish 24 strokes back of medalist Sandra Changkija of Nova Southeastern.
Fellow senior
Sarah Prascsak also wrapped up a storied career Saturday by placing 36th among Division II's best golfers. Prascsak (78-77-82-80) finished 33-over par in her third NCAA Championship appearance.
Sophomore
Darin Pinnick carded a final-round 79 to place 51st in the 72-golfer field. Junior
Allison Tyler finished in 55th and freshman
Megan Kiley placed 59th.
UIndy finished 94 strokes off the pace of team champion Nova Southeastern. Fellow East-Region-qualifiers Grand Valley State and California-Pa. finished sixth and eighth, respectively.

For the second straight day, the UIndy women's golf team finished its round tied for eighth at the 2010 NCAA Division Championship. The Greyhounds carded a team score of 325 Friday to sit 79 strokes back of leader Nova Southeastern. Senior
Lyndsay McBride moved into the top 20 thanks to back-to-back rounds of +5.
McBride (80-76-76) continued her march up the leaderboard Friday. After finishing the first round in 34th place, she moved up eight spots yesterday before settling in at 16th with one round to go. Over one five-hole stretch, the defending individual national champ fired four birdies and a par to help her to a third-round score of 76. She is 24 strokes back of leader Maria Luz Besio of Newberry.
McBride leapfrogged teammate Sara Prascsak in the standings. Prascsak (78-77-82) owned the team's low score through 36 holes until a third-round 82 moved her into a tie for 36th.

Allison Tyler and
Megan Kiley are all within three spots of each other. Pinnick (79-80-87) is tied for 52nd at 33-over, while Tyler (80-83-86) and Kiley (83-85-81) share 55th.

Sarah Prascsak continues to pace the Hounds by maintaining her position at 18th. Prascsak went +6 on the day, including an even-par effort on the front nine, to amass a two-round score of 155 -- 15 strokes back of leader Maria Luz Besio of Newberry.

Lyndsay McBride carded the team's low score on day two with a second-round 76, moving her into a share of 26th.

Sarah Prascsak led the way for UIndy Wednesday, placing 18th through the first round of the 20-team, 72-golfer event. As the only current Greyhound with three NCAA finals appearances to her credit, Prascsak finished with a team-low 78.
Coming in as the team's No. 4, sophomore
Darin Pinnick recorded a team-high 10 pars to tie for 27th with a 79.
Senior
Lyndsay McBride, who shot two-under on the course's four par-3s, finished with a score of 80 to share 34th place. The defending individual national champion was just one over at the turn, but carded a 43 on the back nine.

Allison Tyler matched McBride's scores of 37-43 to also tie for 34th.
Freshman
Megan Kiley began her first NCAA Championship with a birdie on hole one and went on to card an 83, good for a share of 50th.
