WACO, Texas – The University of Indianapolis football team made its 2015 debut in the AFCA Top 25 Poll Monday, coming in at No. 23 in this week's edition. The Greyhounds (1-0), who were the top vote getter among non-ranked teams in this season's preseason poll, broke through in part to a 27-17 comeback win versus visiting Saginaw Valley in last Thursday's season opener.
 
Though they are the only Great Lakes Valley Conference squad in the poll, the Greyhounds are one of nine Super Region Four teams listed in the top 25, joining the likes of defending-national-champ Colorado State-Pueblo and No. 2 and GLIAC-powers Ferris State (6) and Ohio Dominican (7) et al.
 
UIndy was last ranked last November at No. 23 before a loss in the 2014 season finale knocked them out of the year's final poll. Overall, the Hounds have appeared in 20 of the previous 31 AFCA polls dating back to November of 2012. UIndy attained its highest position ever with a No. 12 ranking late in 2013. They topped out at No. 15 last season.
