WACO, Texas – The UIndy football team continued its ascent of the AFCA Division II Coaches Poll, released Monday. The 3-0 Greyhounds inched up one spot to No. 14 this week after a convincing 45-17 win against defending-GLVC-co-champ Southwest Baptist last Saturday.
Â
The Hounds' position in the weekly coaches poll marked their highest national ranking since earning the No. 13 spot in week 11 of 2015. UIndy's highest-ever ranking is 10th, coming in November of 2013.
Â
Each of the top 15 teams won last weekend, with the only movement in that range coming as UIndy swapped places with Emporia State. Defending-national-champ Northwest Missouri State remained the unanimous No. 1 after 13-0 win at Nebraska-Kearney.
Â
The Greyhounds step out of league play this weekend when they host Hillsdale College Saturday, Sept. 23 at 6 p.m.
