Greyhounds crack top 10, match highest-ever national ranking

WACO, Texas – The undefeated UIndy football team (4-0) vaulted four spots in the latest AFCA Division II Coaches Poll, coming in at No. 10 this week. The top-10 position matches the program's highest-ever ranking, first attained in November of 2013.

Coming off a thrilling 45-38 win against visiting Hillsdale Saturday night, the Greyhounds made the leap in the rankings after three top-10 teams lost over the weekend, including No. 2 Ferris State. The Hounds also jumped No. 12 Midwestern State, who was idle. UIndy is now 4-0 on the season, marking its best start in 20 years.

At the top of the poll, defending-national-champ Northwest Missouri State remained the unanimous No. 1 after a lopsided 63-0 victory versus Missouri Southern State on Saturday.

The Greyhounds return to conference play this weekend when they host 2016 GLVC-co-champ Truman to cap a week of Homecoming festivities on campus.
