ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The historic season for the UIndy women's lacrosse team has come to an end in the first round of the NCAA Midwest region. The No. 12 Greyhounds (16-4) fell to the third-seeded and No. 11 Regis (16-4) on Friday afternoon at Hunter Stadium, 21-6.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Greyhounds went on a pair of three-goal runs early in the game, led by
Grace Gunneson's two scores. Senior
Anna Rulapaugh also found the back of the cage during that stretch, while
Lauryn Hardoy scored once and recorded one assist.

UIndy led 6-5 before Regis scored 15 unanswered goals over the final 40 minutes of the game. The starting goalie for the Rangers made 12 saves on the day, limiting the Greyhound offense to just six goals during her time in the crease. The Hounds averaged 17.79 goals per game coming into the NCAA tournament.

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
The Hounds capped off an historic season with several record breakers, including 16 victories. This season marked the first trip to the NCAA Midwest region in just the program's third season.

Delaney Davidson led the Greyhounds with 66 goals this season, while
Lauryn Hardoy ends her rookie campaign with 90 points (57 goals, 33 assists).
Peyton Romig finishes the season with 152 wins on the draw, while
Riley McClure picked up 46 ground balls and caused 43 turnovers.

Abigail Lagos scored 45 goals this season, while
Destinie Katz finishes with 45 helpers.

Senior
Anna Rulapaugh concludes her three-year career in the Crimson and Grey as the all-time leader in points (173), goals (107), and assists (66). The Churchton, Md. native won 34 games as a Greyhound.
