INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 11 UIndy women's lacrosse (17-1) cruised to a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) semifinal round win over Concordia-St. Paul (11-7) on Friday night, 21-3.

Grace Gunneson recorded a game-high eight points, including seven goals, while freshman keeper
Cassidy King made eight saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Greyhound duo
Krista Temple and
Hannah Bunce began the scoring for UIndy, finding the back of the cage in the opening 81 seconds. After a Golden Bears' goal, the Greyhounds rattled off eight straight scores, with Gunneson netting four herself in the 12-minute stretch.

Fran Messura capped off the first-half scoring to give the Greyhounds a 14-2 advantage at the break.

UIndy wound the clock down in the second half, outscoring Concordia-St. Paul, 7-1. Gunneson scored three more times, while
Jess Soenen,
Destinie Katz,
Hannah Burczyk, and Messura all added goals. King made four saves in each half.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Gunneson's final goal tally is the second time this season the junior has scored seven times. The First-Team All-GLIAC attacker has scored at least times in 13 contests this season.

Eight different Greyhounds recorded one caused turnover on Friday, with Temple adding two ground balls to her line.

In her first game back since March 27, Messura netted two goals and scooped up a pair of ground balls.

UIndy will host No. 21 Grand Valley State on Sunday afternoon for the GLIAC tournament championship. The Greyhounds defeated the Lakers on March 24 at Key Stadium, 13-7.
